Trompe-l'oeil

Trompe-l’oeil, French for “deceive the eye”, is a painting technique that uses realism and forced perspective to create the illusion of three dimensions on a flat panel.  These pieces explore the idea of a central art image and the elements, research and tools that contribute to its creation–in other words, the illustrator's process.
