RESILIENCE

In chaotic times, life's gyroscope tilts precariously off center. The relentless persistence of the natural world provides a place to stand as we seek equilibrium. I look to gardens and mountains for inspiration. Observing and drawing each plant, mark by mark in meditation, helps to calm the racing world. Art is resilience.
Spring arrives again on schedule, at least for now, offering respite and hope.Nature is Resilience.

"You can cut all the flowers, but you cannot keep Spring from coming." --Pablo Neruda

Many of the garden plants are from Monet's garden and pond in Giverny, France. Others are from travels and my own gardens.
All of the wildflowers are from Colorado, from the plains to the desert and the high mountains. Each plant is paired with a USGS topographical map of the location where I found it. Just for fun, I included their altitudes.
