POLITICAL LANDSCAPE: plants and politics at play

We live in interesting times. As we seek footing in the ever-shifting political landscape, nature may provide a place to stand as we watch for better days.

One aspect of the current turmoil is the oddly compelling vocabulary that fills the airwaves. Familiar terms take on new meaning, while others are puzzling political inventions that become common without clarity.

In response (and trying to keep a sense of humor) I have recruited plants to illustrate the disconcerting language that describes our daily dose of altered reality. At the same time, I look to nature for a reminder to breathe, in hope that beauty and order and new growth will emerge beneath it all.
